🚨 A tragic accident shook the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh on Sunday, as three employees of Qatar's Amiri Diwan were killed in a car crash, the Qatari embassy said.
The embassy reported that the car overturned on a curve about 50 kilometres from the city. Two other diplomats were seriously injured and are receiving treatment at the local hospital.
Officials confirmed that the injured and the bodies of the deceased will be repatriated later the same day to Doha.
The crash comes just days after Qatari, Turkish and Egyptian representatives met here for indirect talks that led to the first phase of the U.S. peace plan for Gaza. Sharm el-Sheikh is now buzzing ahead of a global summit on Monday aimed at finalising the Israel-Hamas agreement.
