Gaza Ceasefire Phase One Kicks Off at Noon 🚚🤝

Egypt's Al-Qahera News TV reports that the first phase of a Gaza ceasefire deal will kick off at 12 p.m. on Thursday (0900 GMT). 🤝 The news comes after days of intense indirect talks between Hamas and Israel in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Diplomats are putting finishing touches on all provisions and implementation mechanisms while communication channels between delegations stay open. Meanwhile, hope is on the horizon for families on both sides as plans to secure the release of hostages and prisoners roll forward.

On Thursday, Egypt dispatched its fourth humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza since July 27. Run by the Egyptian Red Crescent, the convoy carries thousands of tonnes of rice, pasta, flour, baby formula, medicines, and medical supplies. 🚚❤️

The aid trucks crossed the Rafah crossing – the only land link between Sinai and Gaza – before heading to Kerem Shalom for Israeli inspection. Once cleared, supplies will flow into Gaza's hospitals and community centers, bringing much-needed relief.

While the deal's final draft is still being polished, all eyes are on this 'pause' in the conflict, which aims to end hostilities and pave the way for broader negotiations down the line. Stay tuned: more details are expected soon! 🌍✌️
