China’s Y-20 Jet Flies to South Korea to Repatriate War Heroes

✈️ On Wednesday, a Y-20 transport aircraft of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force departed for South Korea to bring home the remains of 30 Chinese People’s Volunteers martyrs from the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950–1953).

Four J-20 fighters will escort the transport when it re-enters airspace of the Chinese mainland, ensuring a respectful and secure journey for the fallen heroes.

Earlier this same Y-20 jet flew over Tian'anmen Square during the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War—an awe-inspiring salute to history. ✨

“We fly to remember our past and honor those who gave their all,” said Zhou Han, pilot of the Y-20. His words remind us that every mission carries the weight of collective memory. 🕊️

The PLA Air Force says South Korean authorities will hand over the remains and personal belongings of these martyrs on Friday, closing a heartfelt chapter of cross-border cooperation and remembrance.
