DPRK Holds Ground: No Plans to Remove Border Loudspeakers

Imagine standing at the edge of the tense Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between the DPRK and South Korea… but instead of silence, you hear booming announcements through massive loudspeakers 🔊. This isn’t a scene from a Cold War movie – it’s today’s reality, confirmed by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

In a statement titled "Hope of Seoul Is Nothing but a Foolish Dream," Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made it clear: the DPRK has never removed those border loudspeakers—and they have no plans to do so 💥.

Kim Yo Jong called out what she sees as misleading stories in South Korean media 📺. According to her, Seoul’s claim that the DPRK has taken down its speakers is pure imagination. Whether South Korea pulls its own loudspeakers, pauses its broadcasts, or tweaks its massive U.S.-South Korea military drills, the DPRK simply doesn’t care 😎.

Those joint exercises, set to kick off on Monday, are branded a “hostile stance” by the DPRK. And any rumors that Pyongyang might take part in discussions with the United States at the upcoming Trump-Putin summit? A “false dream,” Kim says 💤.

Bottom line: for the DPRK, the loudspeakers stay. And for now, the land of Kim Jong Un isn’t looking to hit the mute button 🔇.

Will the coming drills turn up the volume even more? Or could cooler heads prevail? Stay tuned for more updates on this cross-border standoff!
