Gaza School Shelter Airstrike Claims 10 Lives

An airstrike on a school sheltering displaced families in northern Gaza City has tragically claimed at least 10 lives, adding to an already escalating crisis. Eyewitnesses recalled chaotic scenes as flames engulfed the Yafa School in the Tuffah area, with tents and classrooms burning while families searched desperately for their belongings.

In a separate strike, a missile hit the upper building of the Durra Children's Hospital, damaging key facilities such as the intensive care unit and its solar panel system. Although no casualties were reported from the hospital hit, the damage further strains Gaza’s healthcare system as it struggles amidst ongoing conflicts and a sustained blockade.

Since the collapse of a ceasefire on March 18, local health authorities report that more than 1,600 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds of thousands displaced by relentless airstrikes. Rescue teams face major challenges reaching victims trapped under rubble as bombardments continue.

This unfolding crisis, which feels like a harsh plot from a blockbuster action movie yet carries the weight of real human loss, leaves communities reeling. Our hearts go out to all those affected during these difficult times. 😢
