Iran Urges Swift U.S. Talks on Sanctions & Nuclear Rights

In a dynamic move, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi made it clear that time is of the essence. During a meeting with the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Tehran, he emphasized that Iran is serious about its indirect negotiations with the U.S. and expects no delays in the diplomatic process.

At a second round of talks held in Rome on April 19, Tehran and Washington agreed on an overall framework and agenda for subsequent technical discussions. The focus remains on easing U.S. sanctions in a way that benefits the Iranian people economically. However, Gharibabadi underscored that Tehran would never compromise on its right to enrich uranium – a firm red line.

These constructive discussions follow a previous round in Muscat on April 12 and come on the heels of U.S. threats of military action. Although challenges linger since the U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear deal in 2018, both sides are striving to advance the diplomatic process.

This evolving international dialogue feels like a high-stakes thriller, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats! 🚀 Stay tuned as the story unfolds in this fast-paced global scene.
