Mass Protests Shake U.S. and Europe Over Trump Policies

Hundreds of thousands of protesters have taken to the streets in dozens of U.S. and European cities to voice their discontent with several controversial policies of the Trump administration. From state capitols to public parks, everyday citizens are uniting for change against measures like reciprocal tariffs, federal agency shutdowns, and stricter deportations.

In the United States, nearly 600,000 people participated in over 1,400 demonstrations across all 50 states under the rallying cry of "Hands Off." The events were organized by a coalition of more than 150 groups—including civil rights organizations, labor unions, and veterans' associations—bringing together nurses, teachers, students, and parents to demand a fairer system. ✊

Rahna Epting, executive director of the activist group MoveOn, captured the spirit of the moment: "This peaceful movement is powered by everyday people – nurses, teachers, students, parents – who are rising up to protect what matters most. We are united, we are relentless, and we are just getting started."

This surge in activism reflects a growing call for accountability and reform, inspiring a new chapter of citizen-led change across continents.
