Washington D.C. Closes Streets Ahead of Trump’s Inauguration 🚧🇺🇸

Washington D.C. is on high alert as the big day approaches! 🚧 Streets are being sealed off, and the city's gearing up for a massive influx of inauguration crowds. Law enforcement is everywhere, making sure everything runs smoothly as President-elect Donald Trump gets ready to take office. 🇺🇸

Parts of the city around the Capitol, the White House, Capital One Arena, and surrounding areas have been fenced off or barricaded for days. Workers were still putting up fences on Sunday afternoon, especially around Capital One Arena, where Trump held a huge rally. 🎤

The inauguration address, prayers, and other speeches have been moved inside the Capitol Rotunda, making the Capital One Arena a hotspot for Trump supporters. With the safety perimeter expanded and extra checkpoints set up, officials are taking no chances to ensure everyone's safety. 🛡️

According to reports, Matt McCool, the U.S. Secret Service special agent in charge of the Washington field office, said the measures are in place to prevent any incidents like the recent attack in New Orleans. Police officers and National Guard units are out in full force around Capital One Arena, where around 20,000 people gathered for the rally. 👮‍♂️🪖

Planning to get around the city? Heads up! Four subway stations will be closed on Monday, and some bridges and ramps from Virginia to D.C. might be shut down on Inauguration Day. Approximately 25,000 law enforcement personnel will be on duty to keep things safe. 🚇🚫

The excitement is real, but so is the weather! ❄️ Thousands waited in line for hours to attend the rally, braving rain and snow. Many couldn't get in due to limited space, and some decided to head home as the weather took a chilly turn.

Trump will be sworn in at noon on Monday, with temperatures expected to be around minus five degrees Celsius. 🥶 Bundle up if you're heading out!

We caught up with Leah Aguanno, a Trump supporter from Westfield, New Jersey, who waited hours in line, proudly holding a Trump-Vance flag. \"Even though the weather is bad, I'm still happy to be here to be part of this. It's a moment in history, and I'm expecting great changes and many orders to be reversed tomorrow after Trump is in office,\" said Aguanno. 🇺🇸✨
