China and Italy Unite for Greater Prosperity at Milan Summit 🇨🇳🇮🇹

In a vibrant event in Milan, China and Italy have pledged to boost their partnership, aiming for mutual prosperity and deeper collaboration! 🎉 The launch ceremony of the 2024 Development Report on Chinese Enterprises in Italy became a hotspot for officials and business leaders from both nations.

Yan Dong, president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Italy (CCCIT), took center stage, highlighting how Chinese businesses have been a powerhouse for Italy's economy. Despite facing challenges like protectionist policies and some red tape, Chinese enterprises are making waves in investment, taxation, and creating jobs. 💼

\"We hope this report will enhance mutual understanding and foster deeper bilateral cooperation,\" Yan expressed, emphasizing that the report digs deep into employment, operations, and regulatory challenges, offering recommendations to make Italy's business scene even better!

The report is a big deal—it’s the first comprehensive study of Chinese businesses in Italy, based on data from 92 member companies. It sheds light on how these companies operate, their contributions, and the hurdles they face.

Chinese Consul General in Milan, Liu Kan, praised the report as a treasure trove for policymakers and business leaders. \"China stands ready to share its development opportunities with Italy and the world, safeguard global free trade, and ensure the stability of industrial and supply chains,\" Liu said, emphasizing China's commitment to peaceful development and shared growth. 🌐

Andrea Tabella from the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy echoed these sentiments. He reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to stronger collaboration with the CCCIT to unlock fresh opportunities for mutual growth, noting that the report would be a helpful guide for Chinese enterprises in Italy.

Raffaele Cattaneo, secretary general of the Lombardy Region, highlighted how Lombardy is the place to be! With over 50% of Chinese investments in Italy pouring into the region, and more than 60% of surveyed companies planning to expand there in the next three years, it's clear that Lombardy is at the heart of China-Italy economic ties. 🚀

The CCCIT, founded in 2021, is the only officially recognized organization representing Chinese enterprises in Italy. With over 120 members across finance, telecommunications, tech, and manufacturing, they're making a significant impact!

The event was buzzing with around 150 participants, including reps from Chinese and Italian businesses, trade associations, and government institutions. This gathering set the stage for exciting collaborations ahead! 🤝

As China and Italy gear up for deeper cooperation, the future looks bright for both nations. Stay tuned for more updates on this dynamic partnership!
