Gaza’s Heartache: Over 40 Lives Lost in Recent Israeli Strikes

😢 Gaza is grieving as at least 40 Palestinians lost their lives on Sunday due to Israeli airstrikes across the region, according to Palestinian health officials and human rights groups.

In the northern town of Jabalia, a devastating strike destroyed a three-story residential building at dawn, claiming at least 24 lives and injuring 30 others from nearby houses, reported the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR).

The Israeli military stated that it targeted a site in Jabalia where \"terrorists were operating\" and posed a threat to Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops in the area. \"The details are under review,\" the military added.

Meanwhile, in Gaza City, an airstrike in the Sabra neighborhood tragically killed Wael Al-Khour, an official at the welfare ministry, along with his wife, son, two daughters, and three grandchildren, as confirmed by medical officials and relatives. The Israeli military said it was investigating this report.

The humanitarian crisis deepens as the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross, evacuated 20 patients from Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia to another facility in Gaza City. Sadly, one patient passed away during the transfer due to delays at an Israeli checkpoint.

Hospitals in and around Jabalia have been under siege for weeks, with officials refusing army orders to evacuate, despite dwindling supplies of food, medicine, and fuel.

The Israeli military accuses the militant group Hamas of exploiting civilians and civilian infrastructure for military purposes—a charge that Hamas denies.

Amidst the chaos, Hamas' armed wing announced that it had killed 15 Israeli soldiers in an attack in Beit Lahiya, north of Jabalia. There has been no comment from Israel on this claim.

💔 The human toll of the conflict is staggering. The UN Human Rights Office reported on November 8 that nearly 70% of the verified fatalities in the Gaza war are women and children, highlighting a \"systematic violation of the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law.\" Children aged five to nine represent the largest group among the victims, a heartbreaking statistic that underscores the dire situation.

The youngest verified victim was just a one-day-old boy, while the oldest was a 97-year-old woman, the UN report detailed. Overall, individuals aged 18 or under account for 44% of the fatalities.

As the conflict continues, the people of Gaza are caught in the crossfire, facing immense hardships and losses. The international community watches closely, hoping for a resolution that will bring peace and relief to the region. 🌍✌️
