🌍 China and Europe Join Forces in Berlin to Tackle New Human Rights Challenges

🌍 Hey there, global citizens! This week, Berlin became the epicenter of a groundbreaking seminar where over 60 officials and human rights scholars from the Chinese mainland and various European countries—including Germany, Britain, Sweden, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and the Czech Republic—came together to chat about something super important: the protection of \"new and emerging rights.\" 🤝✨

The seminar was buzzing with discussions on some of the hottest topics that affect us all—social rights, economic inequality, how digital tech meets human rights, and even climate change! 🌐💻🌱 Imagine brainstorming ways to make the world a better place, one right at a time.

Ma Huaide, vice president of the China Society for Human Rights Studies and president of China University of Political Science and Law, highlighted that protecting emerging rights is the new big thing in global human rights development. He gave a shoutout to the Chinese mainland's efforts in keeping citizens' online security and privacy airtight 🔐, and pushing for environmental protection and green growth. 🌳💚

He didn't stop there! Ma also called for everyone to hop on the \"humanity first\" train 🚂, promoting true multilateralism to make sure there's balance in how emerging rights are governed globally. Let's foster consensus through openness and fairness, shall we? ✨🌟

Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the founder and chairperson of the German think tank Schiller Institute, gave props to the Chinese mainland's vision of a shared future for mankind. She was all in for initiatives like the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, which aim to rise above narrow geopolitical interests and tackle modern human rights needs head-on. 🌐🤩

Jure Zovko, president of the International Academy for the Philosophy of the Sciences, emphasized the need for dialogue between civilizations. He urged us all to learn from each other to protect humans and our living conditions, especially with the twists and turns of globalization. 🗣️🌍

Jiang Jianxiang, director of the Central South University Human Rights Center, pointed out that the variety in how we think about and protect emerging rights reflects the world's cultural diversity. He sees huge potential for fresh insights through deeper cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and European human rights institutions and scholars. 🌟🤓

Fun fact: This seminar started back in 2015 and is now in its eighth edition! 🎉 It's become a go-to platform for deep dives into human rights exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe.

This year's seminar was a team effort—co-hosted by the China Society for Human Rights Studies and the Central South University Human Rights Center, organized by the German and Chinese Culture Foundation, and co-organized by the University of Münster and the International Academy for the Philosophy of the Sciences. Talk about collaboration! 🤝🏽🌍

Looks like the future of human rights is in good hands with these brilliant minds working together. What do you think about these emerging rights and the global efforts to protect them? Let's keep the conversation going! 💬✨
