In a friendly phone call, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Joko Widodo chatted about their deepening friendship and exciting projects! 
They celebrated the successful launch of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway 
, a shining example of the Belt and Road cooperation between the two nations. Xi expressed China's willingness to work with Indonesia to ensure the railway runs smoothly and to create more collaborative highlights that benefit both peoples.
Over the past decade, Widodo has visited China eight times and met with Xi 12 times. Talk about a solid friendship! 
Their frequent meetings have opened new chapters in building a community with a shared future and a new pattern of all-round strategic cooperation.
With the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference coming up next year, Xi and Widodo are keen on carrying forward the Bandung Spirit and strengthening solidarity among Global South countries. They aim to promote regional and global development, prosperity, and stability. 
Widodo thanked China for contributing to Indonesia's economic development and expressed confidence that the strong relationship will continue under Indonesia's new government.
