Tensions are rising on the Korean Peninsula! The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) announced plans to completely cut off roads and railways connected to the Republic of Korea (ROK) starting this Wednesday.
According to the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Pyongyang sees this move as a \"self-defensive measure\" amid increasing military pressure. 🚧
The Korean People's Army (KPA) General Staff stated that the precarious situation, including daily military exercises by the ROK near the DPRK's southern border, the frequent presence of U.S. strategic nuclear assets, and talk about the \"end of the regime\" in the DPRK, has led to this decision.
\"To this end, a project will be launched first on October 9 to completely cut off roads and railways connected to the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and fortify the relevant areas of our side with strong defense structures,\" the report said.
The KPA emphasized that the acute military situation requires stronger measures to effectively defend national security. 🔒
