On Tuesday, Li Hui, China\u2019s special representative on Eurasian affairs, met with Umar Hadi, Indonesia\u2019s director general for American and European affairs, in Jakarta. The duo exchanged views on the Ukraine crisis, emphasizing the need for all parties to work together to de-escalate the situation. 🇨🇳🇮🇩
Li Hui pointed out that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine still poses risks of escalation and spillover. He stressed that cooling down the tension is a top priority. He also mentioned that the \"six common understandings\" issued by China and Brazil on a political settlement have been well-received internationally. 🌐🤝
\"China is ready to work with Indonesia to carry forward the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and the Bandung Spirit,\" Li said. \"We\u2019re aiming to create conditions for direct talks and negotiations to resume among the relevant parties.\" 🕊️✨
