Hong Kong is buzzing with energy as it marks the 27th anniversary of its return to China! 🎊 The city kicked off celebrations at Victoria Park on Saturday, launching a series of epic festivities that have everyone talking.

John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), hyped up the crowd at the ceremony, noting that this year is double the celebration. \"Not only are we celebrating 27 years since Hong Kong's return,\" he said, \"but it's also the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China!\" 🇨🇳

Lee praised the city's journey since returning to China, crediting the support of the country, the HKSAR government's efforts, and the hard work of residents. \"Hong Kong has been riding the waves and breaking new ground,\" he exclaimed, highlighting the success of the \"One Country, Two Systems\" practice.

Zheng Yanxiong, director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, echoed the excitement. With the country's strong backing, Zheng believes Hong Kong can level up by integrating into the nation's overall development. \"Hong Kong will continue to boost its international competitiveness,\" he said, pointing to the city's plans to enhance its status in eight key areas and maintain a free, open business environment. 🌐

Tam Kam-kau, chairman of the Hong Kong Celebrations Association, joined in, celebrating the city's prosperity and stability since its return. He called the advancement of \"One Country, Two Systems\" a universally recognized success.

But what's a celebration without some fun? 🎉 As part of the festivities, Victoria Park is hosting exhibitions and performances showcasing China's traditional culture and innovative development from June 29 to July 2. Provinces like Sichuan, Liaoning, Jiangxi, Shandong, Shaanxi, and Ningxia have set up booths to introduce their local culture and tourism. Time to explore and maybe plan your next adventure! ✈️
