Mainland Criticizes Taiwan Leader Lai Ching-te’s ‘Independence’ Speech 🌟

Hey there, news enthusiasts! 🌍 Tensions are rising across the Taiwan Strait! On Tuesday, the Chinese mainland voiced strong criticism towards Lai Ching-te, the new leader of the Taiwan region. 📰

Chen Binhua, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, described Lai's inaugural speech as filled with \"hostility, provocation, lies, and deception.\" 😮 According to Chen, Lai's stance on \"Taiwan independence\" has become more radical and risky, promoting ideas like \"sovereign independence,\" \"non-subordination between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait,\" and \"self-determination of Taiwan residents.\" 🗺️⚖️

Chen accused Lai of not addressing the fundamental question of the nature of cross-Strait relations and attempting to change it, posing a serious challenge to the one-China principle. 🇨🇳❗

He reminded Lai that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and its future can only be determined by over 1.4 billion Chinese people, including those in Taiwan. 👥❤️

Furthermore, Chen criticized Lai for seeking support from external forces, trying to \"internationalize the Taiwan question\" and continuing to \"seek independence by relying on foreign countries\" and \"seek independence by using force.\" 🌐⚔️

\"No matter how much he fawns on external forces and seeks their support, he will always be a pawn,\" Chen said, adding that such attempts will only backfire. ♟️🔄

He emphasized, \"Compatriots on both sides of the Strait are Chinese and belong to the Chinese nation. No one desires more than we do to achieve national reunification through peaceful means.\" ✌️🇨🇳

However, Chen warned that in response to the actions of the Democratic Progressive Party authorities, they must \"counteract and punish them.\" ⚖️🚫

Chen accused Lai of inciting \"anti-China\" sentiments and pushing Taiwan into a dangerous situation of military conflict. 💥⚠️

Despite Lai's mentions of \"dialogue\" and \"exchanges,\" Chen claimed that there is no genuine intent to promote cross-Strait exchanges or improve the island's economy. 💬📉

\"No matter what Lai says or how he says it, it cannot change the fact that Taiwan is part of China,\" Chen asserted, adding that it cannot stop the irreversible trend of China's reunification. 🏯➡️🌐
