China Urges Boost for Colombia’s Development and Lasting Peace

🌟 In a recent United Nations meeting, China called for renewed efforts to support Colombia's national development and strive for sustainable peace. Geng Shuang, China's deputy permanent representative to the UN, emphasized the need for progress in critical areas like rural reform, land distribution, and the reintegration of ex-combatants.

China welcomed the extension of the ceasefire between the Colombian government and the National Liberation Army, expressing hope for positive outcomes in the upcoming seventh round of peace talks. 🤝

Geng highlighted the importance of dialogue and reconciliation, urging all parties to show determination in peaceful negotiations. \"Reducing conflict and violence is key to creating a favorable environment for dialogue,\" he noted.
