Xi Jinping Promotes Two Officers to Rank of General 🎖️

In a ceremony on Thursday, Chinese President Xi Jinping 🇨🇳, who is also the chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), presented certificates to promote two officers to the prestigious rank of general—the highest rank for active service officers in China.

The newly promoted generals are Wang Renhua, secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CMC, and Xiao Tianliang, president of the University of National Defense. Their promotions highlight significant contributions to the nation's defense and security.

Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of the CMC, announced the promotion orders signed by Xi. He Weidong, another vice chairman of the CMC, presided over the ceremony.

President Xi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the officers 🎉, emphasizing the importance of their roles in strengthening the country's military capabilities. After the ceremony, Xi and other leaders posed for group photos with the newly appointed generals.

These promotions are key events in China's military calendar, reflecting ongoing efforts to modernize and reinforce the People's Liberation Army.
