China Claps Back at Critics Over Hong Kong’s National Security Law

🔥 China isn't keeping quiet! On Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian blasted certain countries and organizations for their \"slandering and smear campaigns\" against Hong Kong's new national security law.

🧐 So, what's the buzz about? On Tuesday, Hong Kong's Legislative Council (HKSAR) unanimously passed the safeguarding national security bill, making it official law! This is a huge milestone for Hong Kong, fulfilling its duties under Article 23 of the HKSAR Basic Law.

Lin Jian emphasized that the new law is inspired by similar legislation around the world and is all about helping Hong Kong strike the perfect balance between growth and security. \"With top-notch security guarantees, we're totally confident that Hong Kong will achieve high-quality development and next-level openness,\" Lin said. \"We're also super confident in the long-term success of 'One Country, Two Systems' and Hong Kong's stability and thriving vibes.\"

He made it clear that China's government is 100% committed to safeguarding its national sovereignty, security, and development interests, fully rocking the \"One Country, Two Systems\" approach, and pushing back against any external meddling in Hong Kong's affairs.

\"Any attacks and smears against the safeguarding national security bill won't fly and are doomed to fail,\" Lin declared. 🚫💥
