People-Centered Global Governance: A Path to a Safer World

🌍 Imagine a world where every global policy is designed with people's wellbeing at its core! That's exactly what Chinese President Xi Jinping outlined in his Global Governance Initiative (GGI) on September 1, emphasizing a #PeopleCentered approach for a safer, fairer planet.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic backed this idea, stressing the need to "deliver it to the people all over the world." By putting humanity first, the GGI aims to reshape how nations collaborate, blending ancient wisdom from the Chinese mainland with modern governance.

At the heart of this vision lie the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Adopted in 2015, these 17 goals target poverty, hunger, and more by 2030. Yet, five years from the deadline, over 650 million people live on less than $2.15 a day, and around 700 million face hunger.

China's track record speaks volumes. By lifting over 800 million people out of extreme poverty in four decades, China became one of the few countries to meet SDG targets ahead of schedule. Jim Yong Kim, former World Bank Group President, praised this as "one of the great stories in human history." 🎉

Now, Xi's people-centered concept offers a blueprint for global action. With coordinated efforts, sharing resources, and innovative policies, the world can aim for zero poverty and zero hunger. Ready to turn vision into reality? Let's build a safer, more caring world—together! 🤝
