Severe weather took a wild turn this Easter as a slow-moving storm system swept across parts of Texas and Oklahoma. Heavy rain, large hail, and numerous tornadoes left communities in shock. 😱
According to a forecaster at the National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center, 17 tornado events were reported on Saturday, including 5 in south-central Oklahoma. One tornado hit a small town that was still recovering from a March event, deepening the challenges faced by its residents.
Tragically, three lives were lost as severe weather warnings continued across the south-central and Midwest U.S. On Easter Sunday, local communities began assessing the damage while showing resilience and unity in the face of nature’s fury.
Stay safe and keep informed—nature’s power reminds us all to be prepared and look out for one another. 🙏
