🌧️ Heavy rains have struck Sri Lanka, impacting over 15,000 individuals across several provinces. On Sunday, the country's Disaster Management Center (DMC) reported that families are facing challenges due to floods, strong winds, and fallen trees.
According to the DMC's latest situation report, 15,954 people from 4,307 families in seven districts have been affected. The Northern, North Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces are among the most impacted regions.
In the Northern Province's Jaffna district, the situation is particularly severe, with 7,010 residents affected. Communities are working together as authorities coordinate relief efforts.
