Global Experts Team Up in China to Tackle Ecological Challenges 🌿

In an inspiring show of unity, 38 officials and experts from seven developing countries gathered in northwest China's Shaanxi Province to tackle some of the planet's most pressing ecological challenges! 🌍✨

Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by the National Academy of Forestry and Grassland Administration, the two-week Seminar on Import and Export Management and Protection of Endangered Species brought together brilliant minds from Türkiye, Sierra Leone, Iran, Ethiopia, Thailand, Nigeria, and Egypt. 🤝

Marvel Emelia Bassie from Sierra Leone shared her concerns: \"Due to global warming, many wildlife species are being forced to migrate. However, facing unknown climate conditions, some animals are even dead.\" It's a stark reminder of how climate change impacts our precious wildlife. 🐾

Netchanok Jantawan of Thailand's Forest Industry Organization highlighted challenges in her home country: \"There is a lot of trade in elephants in Thailand, such as illegal trade in ivory products, which contributes to the endangerment of wildlife.\" 🐘🛑

The seminar wasn't just about discussing problems—it was also about finding solutions! Participants delved into topics like China's implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, biodiversity conservation, and how DNA technology can help stop threatened tree trafficking. 🌳🔬

\"The world is now facing more and more ecological problems, and collective efforts are needed to help solve them,\" said Daniel Assefa Zinabu from Ethiopia. He hopes for more collaboration between China and his home country. 🌱🇨🇳🇪🇹

Asghar Samiei from Iran found the conference invaluable: \"Through this conference, I learned a lot about animal protection, such as big data and animal monitoring systems.\" He's excited to bring this knowledge back home! 🦉💡

Wildlife researcher Sena Gashe Hora from Ethiopia was impressed by China's efforts: \"Deforestation is a serious problem facing the world, but China has set a good example for forest protection in developing countries.\" 🌲👏

This seminar provided a vibrant platform for sharing ideas and forging partnerships. Together, these global eco-warriors are lighting the way towards a healthier planet. Let's cheer them on as they work to make the world a greener place! 🌎💚
