Typhoon Yagi Leaves a Trail of Destruction in Vietnam 🌧️
Hey friends, we've got some heavy news from Vietnam. Typhoon Yagi swept through the country, causing landslides and floods that have taken at least 35 lives, with 24 people still missing in the northern regions. 😔
The mountainous province of Lao Cai was hit the hardest. Imagine 13 people lost in landslides and one in a sudden flash flood. It's heartbreaking. Over in Quang Ninh province, which was right in Yagi's path, six more lives were lost.
Yagi made landfall on Saturday along Vietnam's northeastern coast. This area isn't just coastline; it's home to big manufacturing hubs for both local and international companies. But by Sunday, the typhoon was downgraded to a tropical depression by the meteorological agency.
Our hearts go out to everyone affected. 💔 Let's keep Vietnam in our thoughts and hope for the safety of those still missing.
It's a tough reminder of how powerful Mother Nature can be. Stay safe out there, everyone!
