🔥 Heads up, everyone! Romania is turning up the heat—literally! Over the next three days, Bucharest is set to sizzle with temperatures hitting up to 39°C. 🥵
From Wednesday to Friday morning, the capital will face high thermal discomfort. According to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), the temperature-humidity index will soar past 80 units.
But that's not all! The heat wave is expected to shift southward on Thursday, while the north and west brace for storms. ⛈️
Several regions are under weather warnings:
- Code Orange Heat Warnings in northern Crișana, Maramureș, northwestern and central Transylvania, northeastern Moldova, and southern and central Muntenia.
- Code Yellow Warnings for atmospheric instability in 11 counties, including Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, and Transylvania, until Thursday night.
Expect torrential rain, strong winds, thunderstorms, and isolated hail, with rainfall possibly exceeding 50 liters per square meter. 🌧️🌪️
The ANM warns that the heat wave will continue in southern and southeastern regions through the end of the week, spreading to much of the country.
