Hey there, wildlife enthusiasts! 🐾 Guess what? Infrared cameras have just caught some amazing footage in the Helan Mountain National Nature Reserve in Alxa Left Banner, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region!
One of the coolest sightings is of a super chill snow leopard with a seriously thick tail. This majestic big cat was caught sniffing around rocks before marking its territory by kicking at bushes—pretty much like the feline version of leaving a \"Keep Out\" sign! 🚫🐱
So far, four snow leopards—two males and two females—have been identified from these sneaky camera traps in the Helan Mountains. These snow leopards are a big deal; they're classified as a first-class state-protected species in China and usually hang out in regions like Xinjiang, Xizang (that's Tibet!), Qinghai, and Inner Mongolia.
