Tragedy Strikes Sichuan Province 🌧️💔
In the early hours of Saturday morning, disaster hit Xinhua village in Hanyuan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province. Heavy rains unleashed sudden flash floods at around 2:30 a.m., causing havoc in the peaceful community.
Over 40 homes were damaged, impacting the lives of more than 1,250 residents. As rescue teams work around the clock, they've recovered eight bodies and safely rescued four individuals as of 8 p.m. Saturday. Sadly, over 30 people are still missing, and the search continues.
An army of 443 rescuers 🚒🚑 is on the ground, battling against time and challenging conditions to find survivors. Roads and communication lines are being restored piece by piece, bringing a glimmer of hope to the affected area. Displaced residents have found shelter, and support is pouring in.
