Chongqing Zoo in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality is celebrating the birth of an adorable giant panda cub! The proud mama, Haoqi, gave birth on June 28 after successfully mating earlier this year.
This tiny bundle of joy weighed just 185 grams at birth but is already growing fast. After more than 20 days of loving care from Haoqi and the dedicated zoo staff, the little cub now tips the scales at 772 grams!
It's a girl! 🥰 A preliminary check confirmed the cub's gender, and she's been bonding beautifully with her mom. This marks Haoqi's second time as a mother. Born at Chongqing Zoo herself back in 2013, Haoqi previously gave birth to twins in 2021.
