Frozen Garbage Piles Up on Mount Qomolangma: Cleanup Could Take Years 🇳🇵♻️

Hey adventurers! 🌄 Did you know that the highest camp on the Nepal route of Mount Qomolangma, the world's tallest peak, is buried under heaps of frozen garbage? 🗑️❄️ According to a Sherpa who led a daring cleanup mission, it's going to take years to clear out the mess! 😮

This climbing season, a team funded by the Nepal government, made up of brave soldiers and Sherpas, took on the colossal task of cleaning up the mountain. They managed to remove about 10 tonnes (24,000 pounds) of garbage! 🏋️‍♂️ That's like lifting over 3 elephants! 🐘🐘🐘

But that's not all—they also recovered four dead bodies and a skeleton that had been frozen near the peak for years. 🕯️ It's a stark reminder of the mountain's dangers and the impact of human activity on this majestic landscape.

The cleanup effort highlights a pressing issue: the need for sustainable and responsible adventuring. 🌿 Let's all do our part to keep our planet—and our mountains—clean and pristine for future explorers! 🌍✨
