Southwest U.S. Sizzles: First Heat Wave of the Season Hits 🔥

🔥 Heat alert! The Southwest U.S. is gearing up for its first major heat wave of the season, and it's coming in hot! Parts of California, Nevada, and Arizona are expected to bake under triple-digit temperatures this week. 🌡️

Phoenix, which last summer endured a record 31 straight days of at least 43.3°C, is once again bracing for scorching heat. By Wednesday, areas stretching from southeast California to central Arizona will experience their hottest weather since last September. Record daily highs are on the horizon for places like Las Vegas and Phoenix, according to the National Weather Service.

🚨 Excessive heat warnings have been issued from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Friday due to the dangerously hot conditions. Fire crews are on high alert, especially in Arizona, where fire restrictions will take effect by Thursday across most of the western and south-central parts of the state.

Monday already gave us a taste of what's to come, with temperatures hitting 43.3°C at Death Valley National Park, 39.4°C in Phoenix, and 40.5°C in Needles, California. 🔥

Stay cool out there, amigos! Remember to hydrate, seek shade, and check in on your neighbors. Let's beat the heat together! 🧊💧
