Typhoon Maliksi Makes Waves as China's First Typhoon of 2024 🌊
Hey there, amigos! Just when we thought 2024 was going to be smooth sailing, Typhoon Maliksi decided to make a splash! 🌪️ Early on June 1, Maliksi made landfall in Yangxi County, Yangjiang City, in south China's Guangdong Province, clocking in at around 12:55 a.m. as a tropical storm. Talk about making an entrance!
But don't worry, Maliksi isn't sticking around for long. After touchdown, it quickly weakened from a tropical storm to a tropical depression. Phew! 😅
Rain, Rain, Go Away ☔
But hold onto your umbrellas! According to the Chinese Meteorological Administration, Maliksi might have mellowed out, but it's still bringing the party in the form of heavy rainfall. 🌧️ Expect showers across Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, and Jiangxi provinces throughout the day.
Areas in Guangdong, Fujian, the southeastern coast of China, eastern Jiangxi, and southern Zhejiang are gearing up for heavy to torrential rain. It's like Mother Nature turned on the sprinklers! 💦 So if you're in these regions, make sure to take precautions and stay dry.
Stay Safe and Keep Smiling 😊
