🐘 Record-Breaking Elephant Parade Stuns Yunnan!

Guess who just crashed the party in southwest China's Yunnan Province? A whopping herd of 42 wild Asian elephants! 🌿 These gentle giants were spotted strolling through Mengla County, making it a record-breaking sighting for the area. 📸

Local monitoring teams captured amazing footage of three adult elephants meandering down from the mountains towards cornfields near a river. But wait, there's more! They were soon joined by 39 of their buddies, turning the scene into an epic elephant parade. 🐘🎉

Right now, the herd is casually exploring Mengban Town, much to the delight of locals and wildlife enthusiasts alike. According to forestry officials, this is the largest group of wild Asian elephants ever recorded in Mengban. Talk about making history! 🏆

Earlier in April, a group of 41 elephants made an appearance near the Shangyong Protection Area in Mengla County. Looks like Yunnan is the place to be for elephant sightings this year! 🌟

To keep both the villagers and the elephants safe, the local government has set up monitoring teams to track the herd's movements in real time. Safety first, but with a side of adventure! 🚁👀

Stay tuned for more updates on these incredible creatures and their journey through the lush landscapes of Yunnan. 🌳✨
