😢 When heavy rains hit north Afghanistan's Baghlan province on Friday, they brought more than just water. Torrential downpours led to massive floods, leaving about 40,000 children without homes, according to global charity Save the Children.
\"Children are scared. Many have lost everything, not only their homes but also their schools and the places where they play,\" said Arshad Malik, country director for the charity in Afghanistan. \"They have lost everything that's familiar. They have lost all routine.\"
The sudden devastation has left families scrambling for shelter and basic necessities. Schools and playgrounds, once places of learning and joy, are now submerged or destroyed, disrupting the lives of thousands of young ones.
For kids already facing the challenges of growing up in a country marked by years of conflict, this natural disaster adds another layer of hardship. The community is calling out for support to rebuild and bring hope back to these children's lives.
Let's stand together and spread the word! 🌍💙
