Chinese Scientists Launch Bilingual Platform for Air Pollution Data Sharing

Chinese scientists have just rolled out the China Air Pollution Data Center (CAPDC), a comprehensive bilingual platform that's set to revolutionize air quality research and management! 🌏💨

Accessible at www.capdatabase.cn, the CAPDC is the first of its kind in the Chinese mainland, focusing specifically on atmospheric pollution data. Talk about breaking new ground! 🚀

The platform is packed with eight data categories, including emission inventories, chemical reanalysis, field observations, satellite observations, laboratory measurements, and source profiles. That's a whopping 258 datasets and 15 technical reports up for grabs! 📚

Whether you're into studying anthropogenic and natural emission sources or diving deep into high-resolution air quality reanalysis, CAPDC has got you covered. They've got data from 221 field observations across 41 cities from 2011 to 2021, focusing on things like cloud characteristics and aerosol parameters. Pretty cool, right? ☁️🌫️

\"The platform allows for rapid searching and downloading of data, and provides a solid foundation for future research,\" notes the introduction paper published in the journal Advances in Atmospheric Sciences. 📝

This awesome initiative is spearheaded by Peking University in collaboration with Tsinghua University, the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Normal University, and 3Clear Science & Technology Co., Ltd. And the best part? It's bilingual in English and Chinese, making it super accessible for researchers worldwide! 🌐
