Porto Alegre, the state capital, is among the hardest-hit areas. Teams are scrambling to deliver humanitarian aid, but residents are still lining up just to get clean drinking water 💧. And guess what? Weather forecasters are warning of more rain on the way 🌧️.
The numbers are heartbreaking: over 160,000 people have been forced to leave their homes, and nearly 400 municipalities are affected. Streets are completely flooded after days of record-breaking rain, making it super tough for anyone to get around.
Governor Eduardo Leite shared some tough news: \"The tolls continue to rise and unfortunately we anticipate that they are still very inaccurate because the emergency is continuing to develop.\" There are also 372 people injured and 131 still missing. Let's send them all the positive vibes we can 🙏.
