Xizang’s Solar Revolution: Locals Warm Up with Sun-Powered Heating 🔆

In the lofty heights of Xainza County, nestled nearly 4,700 meters above sea level in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, something bright is happening! ☀️ Rows upon rows of shiny solar collectors are turning sunlight into cozy warmth for locals.

Xainza might be cold and dry with its thin mountain air, but with about 2,915 hours of sunshine a year, it's literally basking in solar glory! 🌞 Now, over 2,900 residents, including 851 households, three schools, and office buildings, are enjoying toasty homes thanks to solar central heating covering around 175,400 square meters.

Meet Yang Tsering, a local who can't stop smiling. \"The plants in my room grow even better after the heating was turned on,\" he beams. 🌿 Before this solar switch, his family had to burn two cartloads of cow dung to keep warm during the harsh winters. Now, they've waved goodbye to smoky stoves and hello to clean, renewable energy! ✌️

According to Yang Cankui, manager of the local company keeping the heat running, the heating season lasts a whopping seven months, from November to June. And guess what? It's 24-hour continuous heating! Talk about a warm welcome! 🔥

This solar revolution isn't just heating homes; it's warming hearts and bringing brighter, greener winters to Xizang. Here's to sunnier days ahead! ☀️🌄
