Bolivian President Luis Arce has pledged to take swift action, announcing the deployment of heavy machinery and 3,000 troops to prevent further damage. \"We are deeply concerned by the difficult situation that our municipality in La Paz is going through,\" President Arce shared on social media platform X.

Tragically, one person has lost their life in La Paz due to the heavy rains. Since the rainy season began in January, official data reports that nearly 50 people have died in floods across the country.
