Thousands of Palestinians are stuck in limbo 😞, waiting to return to their homes in northern Gaza. The reason? A heated dispute between Israel and Hamas over a ceasefire deal.
Just recently, on January 25, Hamas released four female Israeli soldiers 🙎♀️🙎♀️ in exchange for 200 Palestinian prisoners. It seemed like a step toward peace ✌️. But things got complicated when Israeli civilian Arbel Yehud wasn't part of the swap.
Hamas says Arbel is alive and promises she'll be freed next week. But Israel isn't so sure 🤔. In response, they've delayed pulling back some of their troops from Gaza. This means the people of northern Gaza can't go back home yet 🏠.
For thousands of families, this delay feels endless. They're eager to return, rebuild, and move forward. But until this dispute is resolved, they'll have to keep waiting 😔.
