A devastating landslide struck a mountainous village in southwest China's Yunnan Province on Monday, leaving the community in shock and despair.
According to the local disaster relief headquarters, the number of missing people has risen to at least 47 😢. Tragically, more than 10 people have been found dead in the aftermath of the disaster.
The Ministry of Emergency Management and the Ministry of Finance have stepped in, allocating disaster relief funds of 50 million yuan (about $7 million) 💰 to support the ongoing search and rescue efforts. These funds will also assist with relocation, resettlement, secondary disaster detection, and repairs of damaged buildings 🏘️.
