Twin giant pandas Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei will make their final public appearance this Sunday, January 25, before boarding a special flight back to the Chinese mainland this Wednesday, January 27.
Fans of all ages have fallen in love with their adorable munching sessions and playful tumbles. Since they arrived at Ueno, the duo has been a symbol of wildlife conservation and cross-cultural friendship.
Although we'll miss them in Tokyo, their journey continues in the Chinese mainland, where they'll take part in breeding and conservation programs to help secure the future of this endangered species.
