Huan Huan and Yuan Zi Return to Chengdu, Celebrating China–France Friendship

🐼 Big news for panda lovers! This week, giant pandas Huan Huan and Yuan Zi returned to their hometown in Chengdu, Sichuan, settling into the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. After 13 unforgettable years at France’s Beauval Zoo, their homecoming in early December 2025 marks a heartwarming chapter in China–France friendship.

Back in 2012, Huan Huan and Yuan Zi flew to France as cultural envoys, quickly capturing the hearts of zoo visitors. Over the past decade, this dynamic duo welcomed three adorable cubs—Yuan Meng in 2017 and twin sisters Huan Lili and Yuan Dudu in 2021—turning their family into true stars of the zoo. 🌟

Now back on the Chinese mainland, Huan Huan and Yuan Zi will begin their next adventure: adapting to a new life under the lush bamboo groves of Sichuan. Visitors can look forward to first glimpses of the pandas exploring their native habitat and follow updates on their daily routines. 🎋

This return is more than a homecoming; it’s a living symbol of how wildlife conservation brings nations together. The pandas’ journey from France to the Chinese mainland shows that teamwork, care, and friendship can cross any border. 🤝❤️

Stay tuned for more adorable updates, new cub milestones, and special events celebrating this joyful reunion in Chengdu! 🎉🐾
