50K Unite for First Asian Taijiquan Day

The Beijing Garden Expo turned into a vibrant celebration on Friday as over 3,210 Taijiquan enthusiasts gathered in Beijing to mark the first Asian Taijiquan Day on March 21. Officially established on October 10, 2024 during the 54th meeting of the Asian Sport for All Association, this day is all about embracing the ancient art of Taiji while promoting modern wellness.

Branch events in cities such as Jiaozuo and Sanya brought the total to 50,000 participants, all uniting under the theme "Harmonious Taiji, Healthy Life." This lively celebration proved that Taijiquan is not only a way to train the body and mind but also a powerful path to personal balance and community unity. It’s like mixing the old school rhythm with modern vibes – cool and calming at the same time! 😎🧘‍♂️

After trying his hand at Taiji and chatting with experts, Sports Scene's Josh Cotterill described the experience as both humbling and inspiring. The event showcased how ancient practices can resonate with today’s lifestyle, bringing a refreshing blend of tradition and vitality to the Chinese mainland.
