🎬 ‘A Tapestry of a Legendary Land’ Directors Inspire Beijing Students with Ancient Art

Lights, camera, inspiration! The directors of the film 'A Tapestry of a Legendary Land' recently took a cinematic journey beyond the screen, visiting schools in Beijing to share the magic behind their movie. 🎥✨

Bringing to life the legendary tale of Wang Ximeng, a prodigious painter from the Northern Song period (960-1127), the film delves into the creation of the 12-meter-long masterpiece 'One Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains.' 🖌️🌄

Over 1,000 enthusiastic teachers and students from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and its affiliated schools gathered for a special screening. Director Zhou Liya shared, \"This is our first attempt to depict our landscapes, including rivers and mountains, through a female character; and through her eyes.\" 👩‍🎨🌿

The filmmaking team didn't stop there! They also visited Haidian District's Foreign Language Experimental School, where director Han Zhen inspired over 400 students. She passionately expressed, \"Chinese traditional culture, especially in landscape painting, carries immense energy. A moviegoer once commented that Wang Ximeng is like the conqueror of the landscape, standing alone among the mountains with brush in hand, commanding the entire scene. This reflects the spirit of Chinese youth.\" 💪🌟

Through these visits, the directors hope to ignite a love for art and culture among the younger generation, bridging the past and the present. Who knows? The next artistic legend might just be among those inspired students! 🎨✨
