From August 13 to 19, nearly 30 students from Tsinghua University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology came together in Beijing for an unforgettable musical journey.
As part of the Xin Tsing Friends' Beijing-Hong Kong Students Tsinghua Summer Music Camp, these young talents united to prepare for a grand concert led by renowned violinist Lv Siqing. The camp was organized in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People\u2019s Republic of China, aiming to foster cultural exchange and friendship between students from both regions.
Between intense rehearsals and jam sessions, the students bonded over their shared passion for music. Wallace Lee, the organizer of the music camp, expressed his excitement about the collaboration: \"It's amazing to see how music brings everyone together, no matter where they're from!\"
Enoch Wong from CGTN caught up with some of the participants from Hong Kong. They shared how the camp not only honed their musical skills but also opened their eyes to new perspectives. \"We learned so much from each other,\" one student said. \"It's like we're one big family now! \"
This immersive camp is more than just about music; it's about building bridges and creating lifelong connections. It highlights how art can transcend boundaries and unite people from different backgrounds. As the grand concert approaches, the students are ready to showcase their harmonious talents to the world.
Stay tuned for more updates on their musical journey! And remember, sometimes all it takes is a shared melody to make new friends and unforgettable memories.
