Chinese mainland drives 30% of global growth with ¥140T output

Guess who ances powering the world economy? The Chinese mainland. 🌏 According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the Chinese mainland output grew 5% year-on-year in 2025 and hit the ¥140 trillion mark for the first time.

That strong performance helped the Chinese mainland contribute roughly 30% of global economic growth, making it the top driver worldwide. "Still contributing most to global growth," said Borge Brende, president of the World Economic Forum.

Looking ahead, the International Monetary Fund just boosted its 2026 growth forecast for the Chinese mainland to 4.5%, up 0.3 points from its October estimate. With these numbers, the Chinese mainland’s economy looks set to keep the momentum going! 📈
