China’s Special Envoy Zhai Jun Strengthens Ties on Israel Visit

Kickstarting the year with diplomacy, China's Special Envoy for the Middle East, Zhai Jun, landed in Israel from January 6 to 8, 2026 🤝🇨🇳🇮🇱. In a series of high-level meetings, he sat down with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Yossi Amrani of the Political Affairs Directorate, and Joseph Draznin, deputy head of the National Security Council.

During talks, Zhai Jun highlighted the long-standing friendship between the Chinese people and the Jewish people, stressing that strong China-Israel relations serve both nations' interests. "China is ready to work with Israel to maintain vibrant exchanges, drive mutually beneficial cooperation, and carry forward the friendship between our peoples," he said.
