It was a night of epic showdowns on Saturday in the CBA! The Fujian Sturgeons snapped their three-game skid with a 115-94 blowout over the Tianjin Pioneers in Quanzhou, in Fujian Province on the Chinese mainland 🎉.
Six players scored in double digits for Fujian, led by Zou Yang, Travis Trice and Vladimir Brodziansky, each dropping 20+ points. Their bench unit was on fire, outscoring Tianjin’s bench 60-8 💪.
Despite a hot start—leading 33-27 after the first quarter—the Pioneers stumbled, putting up just 21 and 18 points in the third and fourth quarters. Lin Ting-Chien still shined with a season-high six triples for 33 points, and Javion Hamlet added 30 points and nine assists, but their efforts weren’t enough. Tianjin suffers its 11th loss and remains 18th in the 20-team league.
In Guangzhou, Guangdong Province on the Chinese mainland, the Loong Lions dominated the winless Sichuan Blue Whales 106-76. Justin Holiday poured in 28 points, and Erik Thomas chipped in 23 and nine rebounds off the bench. Guangzhou led across all four quarters 🦁🏀.
In Yiwu, Zhejiang Province on the Chinese mainland, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls secured their third straight win, beating the Beijing Royal Fighters 89-69. Beijing hit a season-low 69 points as Zhejiang’s defense locked in 🔒.
Stay tuned for more CBA action! 🔥
