CTT Super League: Shandong Luneng vs Shenzhen University in Women’s Final 🏓

In a thrilling semifinal this week in Nanjing on the eastern coast of the Chinese mainland, Shandong Luneng, led by world No. 2 Wang Manyu, overcame East China University of Science and Technology 3-1 to earn their spot in the women’s final of the Chinese Table Tennis Super League (CTT Super League).

The opening doubles set the tone as Chen Xingtong and Qian Tianyi rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win the last two games 11-9 and 11-8, giving Shandong an early 1-0 lead. Next, Wang Manyu dominated her singles match, cruising through 11-6, 11-6, before dropping a close third game 5-11. She bounced back strong to seal the match 11-4, putting Shandong up 2-0.

East China fought back in the third match as Wang Xiaotong edged Chen Xingtong 11-9, 11-7 to narrow the gap to 2-1. But Wang Manyu returned to the table and showed why she’s the world No. 2, powering through Li Yake 11-7, 11-7, 2-11, 11-2 to clinch the 3-1 victory.
