⚙️ Chinese President Xi Jinping this week urged state-owned enterprises (SOEs) directly under the central government to step up their efforts in driving Chinese modernization.
Speaking in his capacity as general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi conveyed this instruction at a meeting of heads of central SOEs held on Monday and Tuesday.
He emphasized that these SOEs should better serve the overall work of the Party and the country, contributing more to the nation’s modernization goals.
