Last Sunday at the Secret Garden Snow Park in Zhangjiakou, the Chinese mainland squads stole the show in the mixed team aerials final of the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup at Chongli. 🏂❄️
This event marked the second aerials competition of this season's circuit, featuring 10 teams from seven countries and regions. The Chinese mainland entered two squads:
Team 1: Xu Mengtao, Qi Guangpu & Li Tianma
Team 2: Chen Meiting, Wang Xindi & Sun Jiaxu
Despite gusty winds that made every jump a challenge, both teams soared into the final after topping the opening round alongside Australia and the USA. In the nail-biting finale, 2022 Winter Olympics champion Qi Guangpu landed a clutch jump to push Team 1 to gold with 315.35 points. Team 2 didn't slip, grabbing silver with 308.49 points, while the USA took bronze. 🥇🥈🥉
With this 1-2 finish, the Chinese mainland cements its spot as a powerhouse in freestyle ski aerials. Fans are already buzzing: can they keep the momentum going as the season heats up? 🔥
Stay tuned for more updates from Chongli and beyond! 🌍✨
